MEET BRANDON

Welcome to your source for Professional Christian Sex Therapy and Counseling. Sex has long been a taboo subject among Christians, especially in the church. Many people grow up in homes influenced by negative and often harmful messages about sexuality.

It's actually quite sad because sex was designed by God and it should be Christians that are teaching, educating and encouraging healthy sexuality. Unfortunately the opposite has happened. There are harmful messages about sexuality among Christians today sending the message that sex is dirty, shameful, secretive and even in some cases sinful.

There is much shame and guilt surrounding sexual issues among Christians and many people suffer in silence having nowhere to turn and one to talk to. This has created a serious void in Christianity regarding sexuality. Christians who are struggling sexually and hungry for answers and healing have few places to turn. There is hope, however. Brandon Santan is a counselor specializing in Sex Therapy and one of his goals is to help fill that void. Please continue reading for more information about Brandon.

Therapeutic Approach

Brandon's approach to counseling is twofold:

  1. Holistic:

    • Brandon addresses the entire person in all aspects: mental/emotional, physical and spiritual. A person is healthy when all three areas are healthy, synchronized and functioning in concert.

  2. Heuristic:

    • Brandon typically encourages a person to learn, discover, understand himself/herself and the way that he/she sees the world around him/her. He also encourages a parson to find his/her own way to solve problems such as experimenting and evaluating possible answers and solutions and by stimulating interest into continued investigation of self. He approaches counseling with the idea in mind that a person is best served when he/she can discover for himself/herself what's best.

This approach to counseling leads to a sense of ownership and pride which are foundational keys to satisfaction and happiness.

World View

Brandon's training in spirituality helps him with his holistic approach to counseling. Brandon approaches counseling from a Christian world view, however, he does not push his faith on others nor does he require that his clients share his world view. Brandon's training and education allow him to objectively focus on the issue without his beliefs getting in the way. Brandon does not do Nouthetic counseling. Brandon is an integrationist, utilizing applied psychology for mental health counseling and practical theology for spirituality.

Practice

Brandon is currently offering online and phone counseling and consulting as an expert in the field of sex therapy, marriage therapy and mental health counseling.
